I am absolutely delighted to have been selected by local party members as the Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for South Cambridgeshire to win the seat at the next general election. Huffington Post announced my selection in the national press today and you can read their article here.

I will work tirelessly to hold the Tories and Anthony Brown MP to account on the issues that really matter to the country and our area - the climate emergency, an economy fit for the future, funding for education and special educational needs, inequalities, our NHS and social care; and strong local democracy, so that our communities can shape their area and bring about positive change. My eyes, ears and heart are open to the needs and concerns of South Cambridgeshire constituents and I can not wait to get started.

My selection was the result of an intense four weeks of campaigning to select the new South Cambridgeshire candidate and I want to thank my team and all the members who engaged with this and voted. We were lucky to have very high calibre candidates for this constituency, and I would like to thank in particular Ian Sollom for everything he has done as Parliamentary Spokesman for South Cambs since 2009.

The fight begins now! Building a big team is critical and I welcome all supporters to join in whatever way you can. Join us to smash the Blue Wall and take control of South Cambs! You can offer your support, no matter how small here.
