Liberal Democrat Ian Sollom has been elected as the first MP for the new consistency of St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire.

Ian Sollom, who lives in St Neots, won with a majority of 4,648 over the outgoing Conservative MP Anthony Browne.

Ian said,

“I am truly humbled by the faith that the people of St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire have put in me.

“During the election campaign, residents told me about the challenges they are facing every day, whether to get an appointment with their GP, to register with a dentist, to pay their monthly bills or just to feel safe walking in their own area.

“As the new MP for this constituency, I am here to represent and help our whole community. People have voted for change and that’s what I am already working to deliver: the positive change that will get a fair deal for local people.

“I am fighting every day for the residents of St Neots and Mid Cambs. And I’m here whenever I am needed. My job is to be a strong voice for our area and a hardworking champion in the constituency and in Parliament.”
